PCBMASTER Helps You Understand - Rogers RO3003

Author: Jack Wang

Rogers RO3003 is a high-performance ceramic-filled PTFE composite material, especially suitable for working in high-temperature and high-frequency environments. Its operating frequency can reach up to 10 GHz, and it can work stably within the temperature range from -50°C to +150°C. What's more remarkable is that the temperature coefficient of its dielectric constant (DK) is as low as -3 ppm/°C. This means that even in an environment with large temperature variations, its electrical performance can remain consistent.

Another highlight of RO3003 is that its dielectric constant is highly stable across a wide frequency range. At 10 GHz, its dissipation factor (DF) is only 0.0013, with extremely low losses, making it highly suitable for high-frequency applications.

Microwave Circuit Applications

Radio-frequency printed circuit boards (RF PCBs) are becoming increasingly important in the PCB industry, especially in high-frequency fields. Generally, the operating frequency of RF PCBs is above 100 MHz, while that of microwave circuits is as high as above 2 GHz.

RF PCBs have a wide range of applications, such as:

· Remote control (wireless control)

· Security systems

· Smartphones

· Sensors

With the continuous development of new technologies, the demand for radio-frequency applications is also increasing. This requires RF PCBs to be manufactured in accordance with high-quality standards, and the appropriate materials should be selected according to specific applications. Choosing the right material is one of the most critical steps in the production of RF PCBs, and it is of great importance to understand the characteristics of various materials.

Why Choose RO3003?

RO3003 can not only operate stably at high temperatures but also has excellent frequency stability and low-loss characteristics. Whether in high-frequency communication or microwave circuits, it can provide reliable performance. If you need a high-frequency material that performs well in extreme environments, RO3003 is definitely a great choice.
